Videoclip for Jap Jap – Late Night Hour

You might know the feeling: you wake up and a very short moment in time you realize absolutely nothing. Then suddenly reality fades in and you realize what day it is, whether you are alone, what time it is, what’s on your agenda… For a moment you escaped it all.

When I compose music I try to stray into a thoughtless state, from where I come in contact with my dreams and adventures. The space where my memories and my desires merge. Freedom, nature, romance or the solitude and the night. Like in the movie “Drive”: alone on an empty highway with the rhythm of movement. Or together in breathtaking New Zealand enjoying the unreal landscapes…

The thoughts give way to images. The images and feelings I translate into music. I channel what comes to me: like a waterfall that falls naturally, unstoppable.
